The History
Since 1974
Humble beginnings
We were originally known as Makerere Nursery School and Daycare Center. We began as a child study center for the school of Education in 1974. We then developed into a Nursery and Primary School managed by Makerere University to serve its staff and the surrounding community.
In 1980, the primary school moved to its present location and the Nursery School remained here in Lugard House up to date.
The school management committee of Makerere University Primary School have since uplifted the standards to offer better quality early childhood care and learning befitting the 21st century.
